GatherBoard App Officially Released

We are very excited to announce that the GatherBoard App is now available to anyone with a smartphone! You can now find all of the GatherBoard calendars on one app on your phone. Whether you are in Missoula, Montana or Oaxaca, Mexico (or one of many other places in between), you can access a GatherBoard calendar and view events.

Not only can you view events, but you can also customize your feed, search events, and set reminders, among other things. Let’s go through some of the things you’ll be able to do with the GatherBoard App on your mobile device. First, go to the app store and download it!

Once you open the app, you will need to choose a calendar. But don’t worry, even though you’re setting your current board, you can save this set-up, and set up others as well. For example, if my home calendar is Missoula, but I also want to know what’s going on in Bozeman or the Flathead Valley, I can set up preferences in those calendars as well.

Setting up your feed is easy. You can choose specific categories of events that you want to be shown, or simply select all. Click save, then go on to view the calendar.

Many of the calendars have featured events scrolling across the top of the calendar, and you can click to view one if you choose. Or scroll through the events of the day. Or search for something in particular by clicking on the search icon on the bottom of the page.

Then, when you find an event that you are interested in, you can set a reminder for yourself by going to the reminder icon at the bottom of the page. Pretty cool!

You can also add events to your personal calendar. When you click on an event, then click on “Add to Calendar.”

Ready to switch to a different calendar or change your settings? Click on the settings icon on the bottom of the page. Here you can do all of that as well as view venues and tags, and even submit an event, right from your phone.

We encourage you to check it out for yourself, share it with your friends, and let us know what you think!
