Throughout my life I have been a member of different communities, and the strongest of those communities, that have left a significant impact on my life, have been school sports teams and the summer camp that I worked in summers during my college years. What made these communities so special? I believe that the common denominator between these communities is that they each had a strong community connector whether that be a common goal or strong individual leadership.
When I moved to Missoula early in the fall of 2016, I could sense that there was a thriving community here that I wanted to be a part of. When moving to a new place, integrating yourself into your surroundings, setting down roots, and making friends can be a daunting task. Thankfully, I just so happened to be working for GatherBoard which specializes in fostering strong communities. The software I was helping to build was functioning as a community connector that allowed me to plug right in and feel at home almost right away. I believe that any community would benefit from the service that GatherBoard provides, and I feel very fortunate to be working here as Interim IT Support Specialist.
In the next few months I will be working to provide high quality technical support to all existing and future GatherBoard communities. Be on the look out for a new [email protected] email address to which you can send all technical inquiries and issues. I will also be developing our youtube channel into a source for self-help videos on how to operate in the back-end of the GatherBoard Platform.
