Want your GatherBoard calendar to reflect your brand and the needs of your community? Read on to learn some quick tips for customizing your event calendar. Desplácese hacia abajo para leer esta entrada en español. 1.Choose a color scheme A quick way to change the appearance of your calendar is by selecting a color scheme, available in the Template Manager under the Settings tab in the management portal. This will change the colors of your event categories and page backgrounds. For more information, click here. 2. Choose a daybreak row color Available in the same tab as the color scheme, the daybreak row color is the color of the header for each day in your calendar. 3. Add a header image The most noticeable change you can make to your calendar is to add a header image, which is displayed as a banner at the top of your site. It should be a high-quality image that includes the name of your site and location. You can change this in the Header Image Manager under the Settings tab in the management portal. 4. Add a favicon A favicon is a little logo that is displayed next to the title of your site in the tab at the top of the web browser, above the URL. Small but impactful! Add your logo through the Favicon Manager under the Settings tab in the management portal. 5. Create custom categories We’ve created a few event categories to start you off, but you can always change these or add new ones to suit the needs of your community. To make an edit, go to the Primary or Secondary Event Category Manager under the Events tab in the management portal. For more information, click here. 6. Connect your social media accounts Your users will want to stay connected and receive updates about their favorite events, so why not add your social media accounts? To do so, go to the Social tab in the management portal. You may need to also select “Show social” under the Settings Manager in the Settings tab. For more information, read this article. 7. Update your “About” page Whether you are a small business, tourism bureau, newspaper, or conference center, your story and mission are at the heart of everything you do. Let your users know what drives you by editing the About page in the Page Manager, under the CMS tab in the management portal. 8. Edit your custom pages To further customize your site, you can edit three custom pages under the Page Manager in the CMS tab in the management portal. These might be for special events, discounts, or helpful links, or you don’t have to use them at all! For more help, click here. 9. Fill out your FAQ page Your users are bound to have questions about using your site, especially for actions like submitting events and subscribing to RSS feeds. You can edit this page under the Page Manager in the CMS tab in the management portal. To take a look at an established FAQ page, click here. 10. Add featured events Finally, you can add up to six featured events to be displayed at the top of your calendar. To do so, you can go to the Featured Ads Manager under the Events tab in the management portal. For more information, read this article. Sigue leyendo para obtener información sobre algunos consejos rápidos para personalizar tu calendario de eventos. 1.Elegir una combinación de colores Una forma rápida de cambiar la apariencia de tu calendario es seleccionando un esquema de color, disponible en el Template Manager en la pestaña de Settings del portal de administración. Añadir una imagen de encabezado El cambio más notable que puedes hacer en tu calendario es agregar una imagen de encabezado, que se muestra como un banner en la parte superior de tu sitio. Debe ser una imagen de alta calidad que incluya el nombre de tu sitio y ubicación. Puedes cambiar esto en el Header Image Manager en la pestaña de Settings del portal de administración. 4. Añadir un favicon Un favicon es un pequeño logotipo que se muestra junto al título de tu sitio en la pestaña en la parte superior del navegador web, encima de la URL. ¡Pequeño pero importante! Puedes agregar tu logotipo a través del Favicon Manager en la pestaña de Settings del portal de administración. 5. Crear categorías personalizadas Hemos creado algunas categorías de eventos para empezar, pero siempre puedes cambiarlas o agregar otras nuevas para que se adapten a las necesidades de tu comunidad. Conectar tus cuentas de redes sociales Sus usuarios querrán mantenerse conectados y recibir actualizaciones sobre sus eventos favoritos, así que ¿por qué no agregar tus cuentas de redes sociales?
